Xpel FUSION Plus ceramic coating 9H options are an excellent companion to our Seattle paint protection film offered by Seattle ClearBra. Xpel FUSION Plus ceramic coating offering now includes Paint and PPF, Wheel and Caliper, Upholstery, Glass and Plastic and trim. Each of these products that we use with our Seattle ceramic coating service have been specially formulated to offer the best longevity and contaminant rejection be it on your paint alone, paint protection film clear bra or glass etc… Originally Xpel only offered the Paint and PPF Xpel FUSION which worked great but Xpel seen room to improve and thankfully they did, as now our clients get the choice to have the best fit for each surface and circumstance on their vehicles.

Xpel FUSION Plus is a 9H on the hardness scale which is in reference to the Moh scale of mineral hardness. Friedrich Mohs is the one who invented this scale in 1812. The scale ranges from 1 to 10 with glass around 5 and diamond at the top of the scale. The scale by numbers only without the “H” suffix. The suffix means the hardness of a pencil. To find a rating, ceramic coating companies will have their product tested with the use of a pencil, which compares the relative hardness of a screen protected with the ceramic coating. When a manufacturer claims that their ceramic coating is 9H, it means the coating once applied can resist scratches from the hardest pencil.

Ceramic Coating Options Explained

With the Xpel FUSION Plus lineup Seattle ClearBra can now offer customized protection solutions for our clients. Our main package is the exterior ceramic coating package where we use PAINT and PPF which includes protection on your clear bra paint protection film, the exterior windows get the GLASS product and outside faces of the rims gets a coating of RIM and CALIPER. For some clients this is enough protection as it hits all the key areas of concern for ceramic coating, but for other prestigious clients who deeply care for their vehicles they’ll keep going on to protect other key areas with ceramic coating. Other areas these clients want protected are using PAINT and CALIPER on their full rims where we take the rims off the vehicle and completely clean the insides and apply the ceramic coating to the full rim so you get the benefit of not having brake dust stick to the interior of the rim and while the wheels are off we clean and prepare the painted calipers for application as well. Then they get the PLASTIC and VINYL on the exterior plastic trim to have them protected with the Xpel FUSION Plus to help reject staining and fading of those areas since the large amount of rain around Seattle really takes a toll on them. Real or artificial leather also benefits greatly from the Xpel Upholstery as well, to help prevent staining from setting in to your seats and at the same time normally all of the other vinyl is done at the same time throughout the vehicle at this time, if so desired.

Maintenance of your Ceramic coating

Xpel offers a companion product to help maintain an Xpel FUSION Plus ceramic coating called Xpel Boost which we sell at our Seattle ClearBra location in Redmond Washington. This is a simple application done after you wash and dry your vehicle. You simply spray some on a quality microfiber and apply it to your paint or clear bra paint protection film then you buff it off with a clean microfiber cloth. If you choose to, you can schedule your vehicle in with us for a car wash and application of Xpel Boost at your convenience through our Seattle car detailing services we offer at Seattle ClearBra. This would be recommended once every 3 months or so at least or when going on a longer road trip. The Xpel boost will help keep the hydrophobic effect of the ceramic coating and keep the cleaning of your vehicle to an easy task.
